8 Stages, Prone and Positional, 1 Point per Hit, Limited Rounds & Time on each Stage for Bolt Guns

100 Rounds or Less, No Pistol

Bolt and Gas Guns up to .30 cal/3200 fps

Lunch will be provided, bottled water provided at stages

Shooters will sign up for a squad at registration with the goal of keeping the classes of shooter experience as even as possible within squads. There will be a mix of Pro, Expert and Marksman in each squad.

Registration Fee per Shooter – $50 (paid at the match)

$10 Mulligan Available at Match – Allows a shooter to re-shoot one stage of the match. Mulligan score counts and replaces original stage score.

Basic Match Rules

  1. Shooters will start with rifle port arms (in hand standing), magazine in and bolt back.
  2. Shooters will start with all equipment needed for the stage in hand or may go back to retrieve equipment once the clock starts. No shooter will pre-position any gear or equipment prior to the clock starting.
  3. Movement during a positional stage will be done with magazine in and bolt back. Gas guns will select safe and verbalize “Safe” before moving.
  4. Muzzle discipline will be strictly enforced with no more than 45 degrees of muzzle movement allowed either side of the direction of fire. All stages are 90 degrees to each other.
  5. AD or ND – If a Rifle discharges when it was not intended to due to either an equipment malfunction or shooter negligence as in firing a round before intended, the shooter will be asked to stop shooting for the remainder of the day. The shooter will keep any points accrued for the match up to that point.
  6. Firearm Control – Shooter is expected to be in control of their firearm at all times during the course of fire. If a shooter looses control and drops a firearm, the shooter will be disqualified from competing the rest of the match, but will keep any points accrued for the match up to that point.
  7. Shooter will ensure magazine removed and bolt back before leaving the firing position upon completion of a stage.
  8. Professional behavior is expected from all shooters. Displays of poor sportsmanship or cheating will not be tolerated. The goal is to have fun.
  9. All shooters are safety officers and are expected to speak up to ensure compliance with all above rules in a professional manner.
  10. Please adhere to the 15 MPH Speed Limit on the range and do not drive on any areas that appear to be soft and muddy!

2019 SERIES CLASSIFICATIONS

Shooters will be classified based on the percentage of score as compared to the top shooter at each match. There will be 3 classes of shooter:

  • Pro – 80% and above
  • Expert – Above 50% but below 80%
  • Marksman – Below 50%
  • Gas Gun

A Marksman will move up to Expert once the shooters top 3 match scores total 150 or more points. An Expert will move up to Pro once the shooters top 3 match scores total 240 or more points. Shooters will not move down in class once they move up.

Seasoned shooters that have shot at least 3 matches in 2018 will be classified to start 2019 based on the top 3 match scores for 2018. Brand New shooters (with no match experience) will automatically default to the Marksman class.

Awards/Trophies
Each month the top shooter in each class will receive a TX Precision Matches Camo-Hex Performance T-Shirt or hat if available. Shooters must remain at the match until the scores are computed to receive their T-shirt or hat. Scoring will be done on PractiScore, results are quick and will also be emailed to the shooter provided email during registration.

Trophies will be awarded to the top 5 shooters in each class at the end of they year based on the top 3 scores for the year plus the end of the year finale match score which will count for 40%. Once a shooter moves up a class, the shooter is eligible to compete for a trophy in the class they finish at the end of the year.

From the North – Bryan/College Station: proceed south on US 6 to Hwy 159 south, to Millican. Follow 159 south 2.5 miles to a four way stop in Millican. Continue straight 4.2 miles to Cawthon. Turn right on crushed limestone road just before the Cawthon sign by red metal building on right. Proceed 1.5 miles to range classroom to check in, on your left, as soon as you cross the tiny bridge.

From the South – Navasota: proceed north on US 6 to F.M. 2154. Turn left and go 5.1 miles to a four way stop in Millican. Turn left and go 4.2 miles to Cawthon. Turning right as above.

From Brenham: proceed east on Hwy 105 to Hwy159 just past Brazos river. Turn left on Hwy 159 and proceed 9.5 miles to Cawthon. Turn left just past Cawthon sign and red building on left. Proceed 1.5 miles to range classroom to check in, on your left, as soon as you cross the tiny bridge.
